A lot of guys new to pickup start off going to clubs. I did it. You probably did it. And the reasons why are obvious. Women are dressed up and looking good, everyone is there to meet people, and there's liquor to give you that extra courage. But today I want to talk about 10 reasons why day game might provide a better learning environment:
1. Lack of Competition-- There is a ridiculous amount of competition in a bar. First off, every PUA and his brother are hitting the bars these days practicing their skills. Then you've got the naturals, who have long ago made the local bars and clubs their stomping grounds. Then, to make matters worse, you've got guys who've never been laid in there stumbling up to girls with their first ounce of courage and saying dumb lines to them or buying them drinks.
2. Lack of Obstacles--The end result are women that are tired of being hit on and probably full of themselves. Because of all this alcohol and male hormones, their defenses are up and their girlfriends are crowding around them like they are warding off an attack.
3. High-Value Women--When you get out of the bars and clubs, you're going to find a lot of high-value women that you don't see when you're out on the town. That's not to say that gorgeous, successful women don't like to have a good time, but there's a good chance they don't go out every night or even every weekend. They might even just be partying with their social circle or going to different places than you.
In the clubs, you're going to get a lot of party girls who like drugs, sleep with a lot of guys, and age quickly. And even those of you who just want to sleep with women rather than date or marry them can likely see the risks in only hitting on girls like that.
Not to mention that when you see a girl in broad daylight, you really know what she looks like. There's no wondering if it was the alcohol or the dark lights in the club that made her out to be a 9. No wondering if she just dresses up nice and knows how to "hide" her face with right amount of makeup.
4. Less Flaking--When you meet women out at the club, there's a good chance they'll flake on you. There are plenty of reasons why. They might have only given you their number because they were wasted. They might have forgotten you. They might be intimidated because they met you at a club.
5. Shows Confidence--You've set yourself apart by walking up in broad daylight and showing you're not scared to hit on a woman when you are sober. This kind of confidence is very attractive to women and regardless of what you might think is not normal for most guys.
6. No Drinking--There's no drinking when you sarge in the daytime--unless you're on Spring Break in Cancun. This is huge.
On a logistical level, it means you're not going to get too drunk and act like an idiot, but it also cuts back on the risk of developing a drinking problem and/ or having issues with your health. To go even further, one of alcohol's short-term effects is that it makes it more difficult to analyze and learn, which is really what you want to be doing after you sarge women.
7. Less Outcome dependent--When you're not at a party, you're probably not expecting women to go home with you--although that could happen from time to time once you get good. They're probably already busy doing something, like working, shopping, or running errands.
And because they can't blame it on the alcohol, they'll be a lot more hesitant to go back to your house. I don't need to over explain this--it's obvious. And because it's so obvious, the idea probably won't even hit your radar. So you won't be outcome dependent--you'll just be enjoying yourself or asking for a number. Great!
8. Memorable--Again, this doesn't happen all the time, and women are going to remember you. You're not just another guy who slobbered on her in the club--you're that "cute" guy she met just by chance.
9. Develop Solid Game--Since you're not using alcohol as a crutch, you are really getting a chance to improve your game. A lot of guys NEVER step out of the clubs to start running day game. By pushing yourself beyond this comfort zone, you will become way better.
10. The Game Becomes Second Nature--Because day game takes place in all the normal settings of our daily lives, it becomes second nature to flirt with and approach women in a wide variety of settings. Once you get decent, you'll find yourself gaming women everywhere you go without even realizing it!
So are you sold? Day game has a lot to offer you if you're just willing to push the boundaries, and in the end, it can be a phenomenal way to push yourself. You still want to create that attractive lifestyle if you want women around you, but as always, strike a balance. We'll talk more about day game soon, but for now, get out there and start approaching women.
